My boyfriend and I weren’t getting along. The fact that he lived thousands of miles away, was finally getting to me. I hated myself for being so upset and cranky all the time with him. In the past, our relationship was always full of love and he was always there to make me feel better.

Maybe I was getting so upset all of a sudden because I knew i would have to wait another year to see him. I started pushing him away and doing that only hurt him and I. I loved my boyfriend and I knew I did not want him out of my life, but i had no idea how to let this ache go.

One day, Jordan asked me whats wrong and I finally broke down and I told him the truth. I told him I needed some assurance. I needed to touch him so how, I needed to smell him somehow.

About a week later, I received a letter from fedex, stating I received a package that I needed to pick up. When I went and got the package, I discovered it was from my boyfriend. I opened it and I found a stuffed teddy, his hoodie which smelled like his cologne and a little gold heart shaped necklace. The note he wrote to me said “This is the best I can do for now You are my one and only - Jordan” I started crying and I instantly, I let the ache go.

So I had this hair clip. It was beautiful and I LOVED it! I could carry it around and put my hair up or take it down. But a few months ago it broke. And I’ve been trying to get another one. I didn’t find any that I liked. But after while I did. I found it on eBay and wanted it so bad, but I couldn’t get it cause I didn’t have the money. I showed it to Ben when he asked what I was looking at. Without telling, me he got it for me. He told me afterward, when I couldn’t argue about it with him, which I normally do when he buys me something. We had it sent to my address, but without telling he had the address changed to his. So when I went to visit him over spring break he surprised me with it. It is absolutely GORGEOUS! Lol. And It totally made my day!

Sunflower

I’ve been a bit down this week, as I usually am when I’m apart from him and I’m bored and on my own. It’s the first week of being apart from him; I always hate that first week. And normally seeing him on webcam or hearing him will cheer me up but it didn’t work yesterday because I was so down and he told me not to go out today (the next day) but wouldn’t tell me why. At about 4pm there was a knock on the door and a woman handed me 2 bags. Inside one was a long rose in a vase with a fern behind and in the other a teddy and a heart shaped box of chocolates! I know it sounds very Clique but I love things like that and no one has ever done something so special for me before!

My boyfriend is really a romantic person. For the 4 years we have been in a LDR, he has always surprised whether we are together or apart. There are so many sweet things that I can talk about but I don’t think there is enough space. All are very unforgettable and really melted my heart.

I am here in the Philippines and he is really so far from me, it’s almost 24 hours to fly here from his hometown. He knows how dangerous it is for him to fly here alone because one reason is he is white and every time he was here it was always not a good experience for him.

One time he told me he would be in the hospital and I was so worried about him. Even though we’re long distance we never pass one day not talking or say goodnight to each other. So I was so worried when he didn’t call or text or email - I mean nothing from him plus the fact that I know he was in the hospital. So it was already 2 days, still nothing from him. I was really going crazy because normally he will ask somebody to call me and tell me that he is okay and he misses me and love me. I tried to call his house but the people there said he is in the hospital and he is okay but I still want to hear his voice. So those 2 days I got nothing from him. And I said to myself, “I wanna break up with him for that.” (I was just being crazy heheh)

I was writing an email for him when all of a sudden our dogs started barking and that means there was someone downstairs. I didn’t care because my mom was there anyway. Then my mom all of a sudden called me like it was an emergency or something. When I went down and opened my door, it was him! I was so shocked and it felt like I was dreaming. I was speechless and even asked him to pinch me because I was afraid I was just dreaming. I mean I know how he hates the Philippines but he traveled alone just to shock me like that. For the second time around he captured my heart again. How can I ever let him go if he is the source of my happiness….. He is the sweetest person I’ve ever met… but I know in my heart no matter what happens I will always be unconditionally in love with him….

Well, my name is Vanessa and my boyfriend is Sam. I’m from Colombia and he is from Denmark, we met during the summer in 2007 while we both attended a summer camp for exchange students. I was starting my year abroad and unfortunately he was done with his experience and finally going back home. We liked each other and we left campus after 15 days.

We have been dating 10 months now; we started talking in September after camp, and we started dating in February 08. Sam has visited me in Colombia 2 times now and I’m going to Denmark to spend Christmas together.

My story is that here in Colombia we have a special day for women, so that day females are surrounded by flowers and cute stuff from their partners. At my school there was a guy hitting on me, so he gave me 30 red roses (not my favorite flower) that day at school, with a note saying that each rose represented that he cares about me every day of the month. However I never payed attention to the guy, so I told Sam about the flowers.

He got really sad and freaked out since he didn’t know we had that tradition here in Colombia during the month of March. During Easter break, I went to my hometown to visit my mom, dad and brother….

When I got home my room was filled up completely with sunflowers (MY FAVORITE) and a teddy bear laying in the bed with a note.
He asked my mom to help him out and of course she did, so the note was written in her handwriting….

Sorry it’s not a Special day in Colombia, but to me is always special as long as you are letting me show you how much I love you and care about you. So, I got you 469 sunflowers. They mean how much I love you every day I spend without you. So here goes my math, but numbers are infinite, like my love for you,

The week my boyfriend became my boyfriend, I fell in love with a wonderful talent that he has. He plays guitar and sings really well, and even writes his own music. He sang love songs to me and even wrote one just for me.

Well, now we don’t see each other very much, but he is still writing love songs. Just this week he called me and sang his most recent one to me over the phone. I would have much rather been able to be with him to hear it, but I couldn’t, and it was still so touching to me. Although I had the biggest smile on my face I’ve ever had, I couldn’t keep the tears from rolling down my cheeks.

For a 17 year old guy, he always amazes me with how sweet, thoughtful, and sensitive he can really be.

When my boyfriend was playing baseball on the other side of the country, he sent me a gift package for no reason at all! In the box was my favorite perfume and lotion, 2 huge bags of my favorite candy, and 2 of my favorite lip glosses. (He was on the phone with me as I was shopping and he heard me say how much I loved the Victoria Secret lip plumpers but they were too expensive so I didn’t buy them. Then he sent me two because he couldn’t decide on a color!) He also sent me a beautiful card with the box that ended with “You are the love of my life and I’m going to spend the rest of my life with you!” Aside of all of this, he also had a dozen roses delivered to my house from a local florist! After not seeing him for a while, this was so encouraging to know that he cared this much for me and that he put in all the time and effort to do this!

I’m a starving college student and recently I ran out of money for food, something I had never thought possible. Without telling me he packed a box full of food and sent it to me with a small note that said: “for just pennies a day I can feed a college student!” Thanks to him (and of course my highly developed radar for free food around campus) I am eating well!

I’ve been dating my boyfriend for about 5 months. We’ve known each other and been good friends since kindergarten. George and I worked together for three years at Dairy Queen, and we graduated together a couple years ago. Right after high school George moved to Fort Benning, Georgia to be a Ranger in the Army. We didn’t talk for an entire year until he came back home to visit his family which only lives a couple houses away from mine. While he was home on leave we hung out every day and finally realized how much we liked each other. He was sent over to Iraq for four months a month after we became official. While he was gone, I had to move to a new town, start school, and find a job all on my own. I didn’t know anybody! I was so nervous to start my first day of college and to make matters worse George was still in Iraq and I hadn’t heard from him in a week! I usually got one 20 minute phone call and a few emails from him each week. After a successful first day of college, I got back to my apartment and started making myself a snack when there was a knock on the door. I opened it to find a man standing there with a large bouquet of flowers and a teddy bear attached. The man who delivered the flowers to me said he had specific instructions to wink at me, and say the flowers were from George! When I read the card attached to the bouquet it read, “To the most beautiful woman I know…from the luckiest guy around!” It was so sweet of him to do that! I don’t know how he remembered my new address and apartment number and how he found the time while in the middle of a war to do that for me!

I started dating Stephen when I was a senior in high school. When I graduated I went to visit my mom in Arizona for the summer. I later decided that I was going to stay there instead of go back to California. He was the first person I talked to about it and he was very understanding, considering there was a lot going on at my dads house, and I just wanted out. So I moved out here to Arizona in June without saying goodbye to anyone in California.

Well, about a week before Labor Day, my now Fiancé, mentioned that his mom and him were going to take a trip to Las Vegas. So I told my mom and a friend out here that I wanted to go there and surprise him. They were all for it! So I kept it from him, thinking I was being sly. So when labor day weekend came, my friend and I were all packed up, and ready to go to Vegas, and my mom said we had to pick up her friend from the airport and then we could be on our way to Vegas.

So we were waiting for this girl, she said her name was Stephanie, talkin’ about how much fun the weekend would be, and I turned around because they kept looking behind me, and THERE HE WAS!!! He had been planning the trip the whole time!!!!! He flew out to see me in Arizona, and I was completely clueless!!! I hadn’t seen him in 3 months and for him to show up like that was just the most amazing thing!!! Needless to say we didn’t go to Vegas! but it was the best weekend ever. We have now been long distance for about 18 months, he lives in California where he is going to school full time. We plan on getting married when he finishes school, and he moves out here. We are completely in love with each other, and are constantly reminding people that the impossible is very possible if you really love each other. And we do
