The world

Filed under: Sweet Words, Tender Moments — Michelle @ 12:36 am

Well this one night my boyfriends cousin Mike and I were having a pretty involved conversation about him (because we were worried about him at the time) and I said something like, “Yeah, well it may sound weird to you but I dont just love him, I need him,” and Mike said, “Well, I think Josh needs you more then you need him because he told me that you’re the most important person in the world to him.” I just went silent I was just awestruck and thought it was nice hearing that come from his cousin, that he’d tell him that.

But what really got me was when 3 days later we finally got some valuable time together. We were lying down before bed and cuddling and holding him close he softly whispers, “Babe you’re the most important thing in the world to me.”

It was just the sweetest thing and I knew he really meant it too.

“Saranghe”

Filed under: Sweet Words, Tender Moments — Michelle @ 12:07 am

So my boyfriend and I met on a week long cruise, and we currently live 600 miles apart (SFO area and LA area). We always text each other, and never fail to return messages. I recall greeting him (accidentally) in Korean (I greet my parents in different languages) and he recognized it. I was so surprised, cuz he’s not even Asian. So after our first Text-message conversation, We had this ending. I sent him a single word.

Me: saranghe (sah-rahng-heh)
Him: what? what does that mean?
Me: It means…
Him: What?
Me: It means I love You.
Him: …saranghe.

And now we’ve taken to saying “I love you” in different languages.

Oh, to touch

Filed under: Sweet Words, Tender Moments — Michelle @ 11:51 pm

My boyfriend, Jeff, and I were watching the movie “The Strangers” late one night on the phone together (we had downloaded the same movie then called each other to watch =P)

There is a scene in the movie, where the man cups the lady’s face and rubs it gently with his thumb.

Jeff got quiet and so I asked what was wrong, and he says,

“You see how he did that with her…? That’s what I want to do, every time I see you on webcam, smiling, I just want to reach out and touch you like that..so badly, that I feel like my hands are moving to, and sometimes I reach out to the screen..

“I sound like a dork don’t I?”

It honestly melted my heart, he NEVER talks like that, needless to say I had tears in my eyes, sweetest thing ever!

He said it straight up

After five long years of loving him secretly, Donald asked me out and we were just perfect for each other. Two days after we got together, we were outside, gazing at the stars talking to each other, it started out as “I LIKE you this much” and I’d say well, “I LIKE you this much.” Then we started saying “I heart you this much” and so on… after a while I screwed up and accidentally said love, so I got all nervous and tense about it and he said, “Well I know this is a big word… but I just straight up LOVE you.” And I will never forget that night.

“Just picture this…”

Filed under: Sweet Words, Tender Moments — Michelle @ 11:37 pm

One night recently, I was pretty stressed out. I was getting flack from my family about the LDR we’re in, behind on work, and nervous about our upcoming Christmas visit where we’ll be celebrating the holidays with his extended family. I was to the point of tears with frustration and completely venting all over him through IM.

He’s pretty logical, so it’s understandably a bit uncomfortable for him when I get completely emotional. He usually just “hugs” me and lets me get it all out. This time, he hit just the right spot when he said, “Just picture this. In ‘x amount’ of days, you’ll be here, snuggled against my fuzzy chest in front of the fire with two empty cups of homemade eggnog on the floor beside us.” So, I closed my eyes and picture being there with him again, and all the stress and worry just melted away. I thought it was the sweetest thing and it just turned my whole night around. ^_^

A Webcam Moment

Filed under: Sweet Words, Tender Moments — Michelle @ 11:17 pm

One time we were talking up a storm on our webcams and all of a sudden he just goes quiet. I looked into his eyes and smiled to which he couldn’t contain his own smile. I asked him what he was thinking about and he looked straight into the camera and simply said “you”. I don’t think I’ve ever wished harder that I could just climb through the computer screen and embrace him. I asked what he would do if I were there at that very moment and he replied with something I had never heard in my life. I thought the response would be filled with sexual innuendos but he said something completely different. He told me he would try to remember everything about me because he knew he wouldn’t get such a chance very often. He said first he’d try to remember the feel of my skin and then the smell of my hair and everything one can do to remember a person. It was the sweetest thing I ever heard anybody say and it completely melted my heart then and there.

A hug

Filed under: Tender Moments — Michelle @ 9:19 pm

It all started from separation, we met at university, we spent around half a year together, and I loved her with all my heart. Since we were both international students from two different countries we were forced to go home during the summer (because of parents), so it was a long long summer… and finally when the summer did end, she arrived to the school about 2 days ahead of me…

That night was when my plane arrived, my heart was filled with excitement, and anticipation knowing I’d finally see the LOVE OF MY LIFE. So I carried my luggage as I entered the school’s front gates, and on my way to the dorm, I saw a familiar figure… suddenly she ran towards me and leaped into my arms and wrapped me so tightly that I didn’t even need to hold her and she would stick on to me! That was the sweetest thing that has ever happened to me. I would literally do anything to re-live that moment, it was just… something not even words could describe.
